I don't see AGL dropping their prices to match. I guess that must be all the green investment that's required. The war in Ukraine is just a convenient excuse for big business to fuel inflation with rip off prices.
@MakinMoney - correct I'm still with AGL for my gas but I wish there was more competition to choose from here in QLD. Even Professor Fells named and shamed AGL...... but what would I know. I just see how much my electricity bill has gone through the roof over the years. As a consumer, it really hurts. I'm on the verge of cancelling all my insurance policies too as those money, hungry bastards have jacked all their prices up too. It's becoming unaffordable & I've got to weigh up the risk vs making the companies more money. A colleague just had his home & contents increase by 30% and he's never made a claim.
If I had the money, I'd invest in batteries and solar just to give the middle finger to corporate greed.
