Work in the industry, across many sites and am in the area today. Rumour is the shut off may be due to a bushfire under the lines but nothing confirmed. Interesting though, AGL will seek compensation for lost generation at 16k per mw. hr, but if they weren't off the price wouldn't be anything like that. One for the insurance lawyers. BTW had nothing to do with the event!!!
