Seeing the news have a more accurate picture. The lines to the west collapsed immediately removing a significant load.AEMO initiated a trip as there would have been a huge excess in generation. The units should have stayed on in bypass mode until they could be reconnected but didn't. Will be a big investigation for sure. Wonder if those lines collapsed due to corrosion from lack of maintenance? That's something I don't believe we will ever know!
