Shortman data is T+4.
Most of the shorts entered 15/09/23
SP high on 15/09/23 was $1.695
Most shorts rode the SP to a high of $1.91 on 07/12/23.
That previous 52 week high has just been broken today, and by a decent margin.
Current SP run started 04/03/23. Inside the shortman T+4 data range.
Tomorrow shortman data may show if any short covering or doubling down has occurred.
The real shortman data to look for is the reaction from today's SP move, which should unfortunately appear late next week on a T+4 basis.
As long as PoG trends higher to test the $2200/oz barrier, GMD SP should move with it, putting more shorts at risk of being underwater/margin called or subjected to shorts being recalled for the owners to sell.
Interesting times ahead either way.
