A question of where is the bottom of the LCE price, as usual when projects start becoming uneconmical, one has to suggest we are the bottom i.e. now
Its the smaller capacity spod projects that have come online over the past year that are not economical at current prices, in fact some of those new commers would struggle to turn a profit at US$1,500pt once you factor in AISC's. As for near term producers, if prices stay below $1,000pt, it wont be pretty during the commissioning and ramp up phase, a year or so of hell for those players and on that note, if I had to choose between being a new producer or near term producer, I'm not sure which one I would prefer to be.
