You can look up on the digs website historical mining data as well as mineral and geological mapping. There is also access to topographical maps free online that indicates the terrain for the region. Mineral tenement info and the current holders is also available online. Heaps of free info for those determined to look. Not a shot at you by the way, but just some info on what to look for in research.
