Agree regarding the non gambling gaming additions to Artistocrats business over the past few years - really not sure how it fits in with the rest of the business segments. The social casino aspect of gaming makes complete sense, but RPG games like Raid Shadow Legends was a bit of a leap into a whole other industry. Agree with them that there seems to be little synergies in a gaming development team which creates casino games and a full blown RPG game.
As I’ve commented previously, Aristocrat Interactive is a huge driver for the business moving forward. Aware it’s coming off a small base but growth has been shooting the lights out thus far. I’m hoping Aristocrats position in global markets and existing relationships with governments and regulatory bodies helps them in rolling out new products in global markets. I can imagine it isn’t an easy task acquiring gambling licences for iLottery, iCasino and sports betting platforms in different jurisdictions. They seem to be executing well and leaning into joint ventures where it seems plausible.
Very interested to see where the cash from Plarium ends up and whether the other gaming assets are sold off.
Also another $258m worth of buy backs left to go which should offset some of the earnings lost from the sale of Plarium.
