There was a moment when DB was uncomfortable talking about Synlait, and he said he didn't want to speak for them or throw them under the bus - it would be best for them to explain the issues..... Was an interesting moment that could be read into.
But I think, and I need to go back over it again today, my interpretation was the use of airfreight was to beat the ships that had stock on the water, moving slower. The planes would land with the product to fill the gap, and the ships would arrive after to continue the supply. So, I'm reading that as it wasn't shipping/logistics.
It was getting the product onto the ships and I think that's why they are pissed with Synlait.
