I hope you recover it as soon as possible but based on the current outlook and without any major news (buyback, divvie, takeover etc) I don't think we will reach $8-9 any time soon. The thing about stock market is you can stay in red for another 2 years and all of a sudden you can be in green in 3 months and recover all your losses and more. I am not saying that this is gonna happen but stock market is all about these fluctuations so one should be prepared for these scenarios emotionally. In my view, unless you are absolutely desperate selling this stock is not a good idea.
Also a small note about those who keeps saying that I am an owner/shareholder of the stock.. Yes, technically, we are owners but each of us own maybe 0.00x% of the company. Lets say you own 0.003% (same as if you are holding $100K worth of A2M stock as of today) of the corner shop in your neighbourhood and you constantly go to the store and tell the store manager how should they operate, which stock they should range and when should they open/close etc. Can you do this ? Probably not. Think of a2m as a giant cornershop. It's also not feasible for individual shareholders to constantly give management a direction nor it's right. This is why we have professionals running the company. Let them do their job. I don't think management is particularly bad at their jobs with the exception of capital management delays but let's say they are unsuccessful and we have the authority to change them. How can you be so sure that we can find a better CEO ? It is really hard to find a C level manager with integrity, right capability and ambition. I don't think A2M is top of list for the best CEOs in the market at the moment. What happens if the next CEO is "unsuccessful" too? We change the CEO again ? Where do we stop ?
Please dont get me wrong, I am unhappy with my investment and returns as well but we should understand our limitations and what to expect from management.
@cotton, I've been holding for almost 4 years and still in red. I was able to reduce my cost base significantly and happy to wait for another 4-5 years if needed. The potential is huge and I am not willing to give that away. Whining and complaining here won't make the SP any better and won't send a message to the management. It will only make you feel bad and frustrated.
