New Thai PM is trying to juice up the economy. The casino proposal seems fairly serious this time, detail on that soon.
Although it will likely take at least a three years for a casino resort to be operational, this is obviously very bad for Poipet's VIP segment longer term.
While the Thai casino resorts may be restricted to wealthy locals and/or very expensive, either way, Poipet is going to end up even more down market and more competive.
It easy to see Aristo ending the bull of DNA's value, though that property has risks as well. There was a moderate closure a few years back and this latest tax "issue" is not a great look. Did DNA mess up its tax bill, or is it a shake down?
