It’s a medium term play, that’s for sure, but unless there is a heavy recession, hard to see the current price not being a good entry point. I have two holdings - one in our personal names, which is badly in the red ($1.90 entry) and a bigger holding in the super fund at $1.20 and I have already picked up one dividend, so happy with that and will hold for a few years. The other I will probably sell before June to offset against my GUD profit.
it’s too hard to work out where the economy is going - a recession seems very likely, especially if the Reserve continues to hike interest rates and bad debts have to grow. However all recessions come to an end, the world recovers and Solvar seems to have the experience to trade through it.
