No they didn’t. To be right about something is to articulate a thesis and then for it to be correct.
This is a case of someone claiming foresight for something unpredictable. The stock price went down, but not for the reason they thought it would. It was pure luck.
It’s as nonsensical as claiming “skill” in winning a lottery.
