IMO the main reason no one has done it before is the cost of renewables & the cost of batteries. Just like electric cars 10 years ago were extremely expensive, now they are dog cheap. Cost of Solar power has dropped so much ! thats why no one has done it before now. only getting cheaper.... hydrogen will flow.... hopefully the profits do too!
