I agree the wording of the announcement is amateurish. Having agreed a contract as if the customer would agree to increase the price just to be nice. Either variations are owed or they are not. If owed demand them and if not then dont ask. However looking past that i think the timing of this announcement is clearing the decks by the old CEO to make way for the new leader. If thats whats happening then its commendable and should give the new chap a clear runway.
