This is a great update and they've achieved what they set out to achieve with the pilot plant - so a big tick in my eyes all looks promising.

As rizzla said, it's a pilot plant and the whole idea of it is to trial the process, prove we can achieve the desired product, learn from it and improve on it (ie quality) for the future. Clearly, during the trial we quickly learnt of a way to tweak the process hence the announcement talking about a standard phase and optimised phase.

    • HPA grades of 99.99% achieved from FYI’s first round of “end to end”
    continuous pilot plant production trials
    • The pilot plant successfully demonstrated with results meeting FYI’s
    operational expectations
    • The key importance of the pilot plant is to validate and to improve
HPA flowsheet for technical and economic purposes
    • A distinct “optimised” phase of the pilot plant trial has the potential
    to produce higher grade HPA
    • Analysis of the samples from the optimised phase of pilot plant
    testwork is underway
    • Analyses of product conducted by an independent, specialist
    laboratory in the USA

The results announced (which are highly encouraging for a pilot as is) are only from the first phase during the pilot plant.
"We are currently reviewing the optimised phase results and then will send them off for verification" - FYI

Logic would say this will likely result in improved grades from the first round of samples sent to the US, IMO.

There were a couple of pretty rich comments made on this forum this morning regarding results. These results are literally from the first few days of a 7-day pilot plant trial using a specific process that has never been used before.

    Pilot plant test results
FYI’s pilot plant trial production was designed to test functional operations of its innovative
HPA flowsheet design and to observe and analyse the continuous “end to end” process
operation for scale up factors for inclusion into the proposed full-scale commercial plant.
Using feedstock from Cadoux, FYI completed two pilot plant trial product phases: one
phase comprised a standard process, the second phase included an optimised trial which
included flowsheet and materials handling modifications to the plant which may have the
potential to improve upon the targeted 4N HPA.

Samples of the final HPA product from the first phase of trial production were submitted for
high level Glow Discharge Mass Spectrometry (GDMS) analysis to EAG Laboratories in New
York, USA for independent, high accuracy, confirmation of product grades. The second, or
optimised, phase is currently being retained for internal review and will be sent to EAG
    shortly.

Clearly SP movement is disappointing, I just don't get it.
There is still a lack of understanding of the HPA market and also FYI in the market clearly.
We need to really start promoting what we have ASAP.
Roly has spent time in China recently and is now off to Munich this week.

As I said on this one, when it does move, it will move quickly as it will be big players getting involved. The question is, when.
