Roly needed to make sure that FYI would walk away with something to show, something in the bank, a better position, in the scenario where Alcoa might walk away. He didn't. He went into this with nothing solid, no legally binding funding for stage 1 or 2, because they never had a signed JV. They got starry eyed when the big American corporation came calling, and just rolled over, too eager to please. So many red flags and alarm bells on this one that were missed.
