Now that Alcoa is gone FYI can get back to the original plan. People think that just because the mining company is huge and financially successful it doesn't make mistakes. I love the BHP story where it invested $60b in US shale and sold it 7 years later for $30b but because all the proceeds went straight back to shareholders they thought they were winning because that's a pretty good dividend - Australia spent that much on the NDIS last year
