Not exactly sure where your numbers are coming from, but @Fredwah earlier did a back of the envelope calculation, where the Phase 1 project NPV decreased by c.a. $42m. That's around 8% dip in the company's future profitability and current valuation, which largely contributed to the nosedive today.

I wonder if you would keep downplaying the royalty hike using your emojis and witty remarks if the government suddenly took an extra 8% each year from your salary/distributions/super indefinitely for the rest of your life. I think you wouldn't be that forgiving in such instance and you would probably start using the terms hefty, unfair or extreme as well.
