consider yourselves lucky. other provinces work on 8% as they jump in owning 8% of the company. Check the Arcadium ownership structure of Olaroz project. Same for Lithium Americas. Jujuy Mining agency owns 8% without putting a penny. The company still needs to pay 3% royalties to the government.
The reason why you should consider yourselves lucky is that Catamarca is dominated by socialist regime and their counselors have been pressuring to get 30% royalties, yes 30%, for last 4 years. Luckily Milei got elected. As otherwise that province would have been another "Chile".
