The concern for Glencore is that they push GLN to the wall and the project doesn't get up or is severely delayed. If they go under, then they would, I assume lose access to phase 1 product?
If GLN are forced to struggle their way through phase 1 funding, why would you offer Glencore access to any more product from future phases?
Perhaps they want them to go belly up and then offer a bailout which includes all future offtake or complete buyout..... One would think there would be other interested parties in this scenario?
Either/Or, not good for the relationship between the 2 parties one would think?
