Catamarca governor (Mr. Jalil) who signed this agreement, is a strong opposition to Milei (country president).
However, over the last 3 months, Mr Jalil has, surprisingly, align with Federal government (Milei) and seems to be now in favour to lead a group of the opposition governors (majority numbers) in a way to support to what is going to be a historical milestone for the country: the Federal Pact on 25th May 2024.
For first time in 100 years, if this pact is signed, all provinces/states will agree on a 10 point Pact, which Milei has put forward to activate the country and aim for MAGA (Make Argentina Great Again), being one of this point to promote and accelerate MINING. Argentina has potential to increase mining revenue x10 in 5 years, up to $6B and then some.
