re: Ann: Galaxy Sells First Tantalum Concentr... Today's Galaxy announcement states the 28 tonnes of material shipped contained 2.3% tantalum pentoxide. ie, a piddling amount of 644kg of tantalum pentoxide.

I strongly suspect Galaxy would have been severely screwed on price as Global Advanced Metals would need to upgrade this low grade concentrate to at least 30% to make it ecconomic to ship and process overseas. Assuming Galaxy got an absolute max of US$40/lb, the total gross revenue for the sale is US$25,760 !!!!!!!!!!! The quantity and value of the shipment hardly warrants an announcement, particluarly when the annual global demand is about 5 million pounds.

When it comes to tantalum, GIP is much better long-term bet, particularly as its presently hugely oversold.
