Not sure which govt mob owns the old rail corridor now, but at least its still there, probably still state-owned, either Dept of Transport or reverted to Crown Land, it parallels the highways.
FMG's study is the multi-billion tonne IO deposit at Jack Hills.
I'd reckon the 4.8 billion tonnes iron ore at Extension Hill / Telecom Hill / Padbury would also be a logical rail extension, getting near to us at Abra.
