Over April the news was all doom and gloom about suspended mine production, which of course was a hit to ramping up in May. As per the 5th May re-start market update, turns out they didn;t stop all activities. Sensibly they kept enough staff and supplies to at least get two stopes drilled out and charged ready to fire as soon as operations re-commenced. Two stopes already fired by the 5th May...



Won;t be every month they have a two stope head start for production. Still way too early to guess whether or not the orebody is well enough behaved, and stope production is able to keep up with planned 1.3Mtpa production over the longer term. Time will tell as always, though lead price isn;t doing them any favours over a critical 12 months by the look...
