The world has moved on...oil is dead. There's diminishing appetite from investors around the world to pump large sums of money into capital intensive fossil fuel projects. They had a "world class" find, fecked it up and we're all paying the price. Why would we get excited that they're going to put us through all this again.
Return all surplus funds to shareholders. Close the company down. Move on with life.
