they can build much smaller pure gas turbine plants without the boiler (the heat exchanger / big thing in the picture).
This is a much smaller solution and arguable modular and much easier to stand up than a combined plant (and probably make most sense when looking at a smaller solution).
Combined plants, which is what Brent has posted is a gas turbine with a boiler too, to recover the heat then this is cycled through a steam turbine.
Smaller option is only 30-40% efficient in power generation. Conbined plants are 50-60% I believe so obviously the greenest option.
100% Combined cycle plant makes sense for bigger plants. But I think you can go smaller with just gas turbines to get up and running. Then move to Combined cycle (gas turbine + recovery heat exchanger + steam turbine) for larger plants to maximize the efficiency.
gas turbines alone will be a much cheaper option.
