    Hey Davy and Gharp, you both have very valid points so stop attacking each other;

    Firstly, the local transmission line near Mukuyu is near the outer edge of the network, which is very irregular. Even the Himoinsa installation at Eureka is "spinning" reserve standby.
    It follows that a power project at the Mukuyu field would be unreliable, as Gharp says - it could only really operate when the main network is up and providing spinning inertia.

    Secondly, Himoinsa is a Yanmar company, so they have some serious techinical and equipment credibility and financial backing. I am sure they will efficiently provide whatever is feasible regarding power generation.

    I think that leaves only two options;

    a) mini-CNG plant at Mukuyu site with LNG trucks to Eureka Mine, and possibly beyond. I see KKO are thinking of using the Galileo system on their CSG field in south africa.

    b) a dedicated powerline or pipeline from Mukuyu to Eureka. I doubt this is an option due to the cost.
