In regional gas markets price is set by supply and demand fundamentals Limited supply means high cost alternatives and high prices.

As far as the government is concerned, this is a PSC. The developer gets to recover all their cost and make a profit before sharing with the Govt. It’s in the Govts interest to see higher prices in order to realize a cash flow via their profit share. Right now the Algerians are explaining how all this works to the Zimbabwe Govt.
