This is one that I have worked on the past. It has now been disassembled and sold. It was a GE CC 55MW single unit. The building on the left is the actual power house and the structure in front of you is the heat exchanger and gas turbine exhaust. I'll see if I can find another pic. You would be looking at around 5 acres of land. Build to scale of say 5 units per site and you now see how much room it takes up especially with the supporting infrastructure. Just the foundation for the turbines is vast. I think that most people think that you just truck it in and drop it on the ground, hook up a gas line and plug in the cables and start it up. The torque on the turbine and housing is tremendous. The plinth that it sits on has to be perfectly level through the centroid of the shaft. The plinth itself is monitored for distortion.
