No worries with that. I am of the same opinion mostly.

Batteries eventually will become even more resilient and charging software and battery chemistry is improving. There's a tonne of developments moving towards commercialisation. Batteries have a definite place and in cars they will hold a good market share, I believe.

I think pumped hydro probably isn't for Australia. In some places yes of course, but we will really only ever have Snowy Hydro and a few other smaller setups, which in relation to the rest of the world are probably insignificant.

Increasing household batteries is fine by me, but the feed-in to the grid on a mass scale worries me because of having to compensate for so many different batteries of different types, and conditions, I feel it's a system with many holes in it. We would be better off with grid sized batteries and systems like 14D proposes. In general, on a macro scale.

Hydrogen is a major. Especially for transport. I had the pleasure of chatting in length with a senior member of one of Japan's top car manufacturers lastyear who is a long term lead member of their hydrogen development team. Major progress is on its way. Whether you believe CO2 is the climate change culprit or not is besides the point. It adds to the issue whether worldwide climate is cyclic or not. But my main concern is that the world's cities have polluted environments, air soils and oceans. Less pollution in general is needed, for our overall health if anything.

I feel 14d is in a very good spot. Yet to be proven, as frustrating as it is. And if their system works, it will displace batteries and lpg/natural gas in industrial and commercial heat applications, as well as residential district heating energy.

On the politician front. I don't care who you vote for, but you are a fool if we believe any of them. Politicians are self serving nowadays and the less power they end up with the better. IMHO haha. Hope the beers are cold.
