To optimise the operations, some Solar needs to be also part of the heating of the Molten Silicon as well as the bio gas. This will get the Silicon to the optimal tempratures to then export surplus power to the NEM.
The O+M and turbine pulldown was likely planned so as to not fuly heat the Silicon yet until the first stage of the trial is inspected in the O+M stage. Now that has been checked as all in good shape, they can now press on to heat it fully with more storage and solar feeding in as well.
SA water has a Goal to not be drawing net power off the grid, and 1414 tech with TESS is on track to deliver that goal once the rest of the stage is completed.
