Essentially, the market says, why would i pay 0.9c etc, if there are flippers who might give it a pip the other way ? Until a week or so after the placement settles, that market then sees either it can or can not get that flip scrip, and how cheaply flippers will let go of it, given that the discount of the stock in the sector, would seem to potentially make multiples from just holding it. But the market is made of tortoise and the hare. Some want that quick flip into a prevailing pip or two above, or B/E with options free hold, others see bags from holding. How much of the placement went to the tortoise ? and how much of it to the hares. That is why we have to wait a week or two, to determine.
Of course, the discount nature is temporal. If say any high grade drill of an Apollo repeat, can potentially lite a very large flame to deal with flippers wanting to use a rising valuation to their benefit.
