@subumbra in one of GDM's recent videos they mentioned that..."It's important to reflect that 1 tonne of ore (that's 1000 kilos or 1 million grams of ore) delivers about 4 - 5 grams of gold off the gemini table".
In the same video they also mentioned said that "the gold bars from Challenger are about 90% pure gold".
It'll be interesting to find out how GDM are achieving 4 - 5 grams of gold coming off the Gemini table (per tonne of ore going into the ball mill) considering that the mullock dumps only have a gold grade that's less than 1 g/t. Presumably there was plenty of unprocessed high-grade ore (from the underground mine) sitting on the ROM pad from the previous mine owner (MGL) back in 2017.
It will also be interesting to find out on what basis GDM have said that the "gold bars from Challenger are about 90% pure gold".
Maybe they've already done some trial (mini) pours to assess the gold bar purity? Just a guess.
They also said gold bars (plural) rather than gold bar (singular).
Still a bit of a mystery...more details required in the next update.
