Your enthusiasm and good sense has been phenomenal over the years, and a joy to read. Don’t kick yourself. Don’t rely on intuitive feelings. They depend on what you have had for dinner. Rather, acquire good sense and wisdom through careful rational consideration of additional parameters. Kuth Energy was one of the most successful companies in terms of accomplishment on minimal expenditure. David McDonald was also one of the best communicators through the standard of his announcements and he persisted with skill and integrity until it was clear that sufficient funding was not going to be forthcoming. Other geothermal companies with large grants have not made it. Kuth with no significant grants made the correct decision to go offshore early, looking at replacing extremely expensive diesel generation in island populations. World Bank reports took their time, local populations dithered with things they did not understand, and then of course there was the infortuitous GFC. The previous government was skinflint with insufficient and misdirected renewable support, and the present government seems to be vindictively undoing any good moves that were made. It is the Reformation in reverse.

This company deserved success because its formulas and methods were right and I feel strongly for the staff and the Board. Incomplete projects contribute little to a CV.

How will history review the present era of denigration of science and technology while promoting weasle word comment ad nausium? Is this era going to become The Great Depression of rational thought and action?
