A2 Milk (UK) interruption to supply
A2 Corporation wishes to advise that a fire took place yesterday at the milk
processing facility of Muller Wiseman Dairies in the UK which contract packs
a2(TM) fresh milk for the A2 Milk (UK) joint venture. The facility is at
Droitwich in Worcestershire.
Muller Wiseman Dairies is working pro-actively to assess the impact of this
incident and to put in place alternative arrangements for the processing of
Droitwich milk volumes as soon as possible. A2 Milk (UK) is activating
contingency plans to resolve issues as quickly as possible however it is
likely there will be some interruptions to supply to grocery customers in the
immediate term. Communication with customers is currently taking place.
The A2 Milk (UK) joint venture is progressively building its business
following launch of a2 (TM) fresh milk in late calendar 2012 and is currently
distributed to around 950 retail outlets across the UK.
A2 Corporation will provide an update on this matter when further information
is to hand.
