Contact Energy Announcement
Yesterday, Wednesday 13 February 2013, Contact Energy Limited advised its
staff that it is restructuring its business.
This is part of ongoing efforts to manage cost pressures and size the
business to match current market conditions. This programme has been underway
for the past 18 months as Contact comes to the end of its current
greater-than-$2bn capital investment programme and in an environment of flat
electricity demand and intense competition.
This proposed change, amongst many other efficiency initiatives, is seeking
to control increasing cost pressures.
