Discussion paper on UCLL re-benchmarking released by Commerce Commission
The Commerce Commission has published a paper on the relationship between the
Unbundled Copper Local Loop (UCLL), Unbundled Copper Low Frequency Service
(UCLFS) and Sub-loop Unbundling (SLU) services ahead of its conference on
UCLL re-benchmarking. This follows the UCLL re-benchmarking determination
issued by the Commission in 2011, a revised draft determination issued in May
2012 and subsequent submissions and cross-submissions.
Chorus' position on UCLL re-benchmarking is set out in its submission of 5
June 2012 and cross-submission of 18 June 2012, both of which are available
on the Commission's website:

Chorus will engage on the views given in the paper at the Commission
conference, which is scheduled for 19 September 2012. A final decision on
the UCLL re-benchmarking is expected in November 2012.
