FONTERRA CLARIFIES ON CHINA PRODUCT
Responding to media reports out of China, Fonterra today said none of its
products have been destroyed in China.
Fonterra Managing Director Greater China India, Kelvin Wickham said: "Every
quarter AQSIQ (China's food quality authority) publishes a list of products
that have not complied with Chinese labelling and other regulations.
"Its latest list, published yesterday, refers to a sum total of 97.2kg -
that's less than four bags of bulk export product.
"None of the items mentioned by AQSIQ were Fonterra products."
