GENERAL: IFT: Lumo Energy signs gas sales agreement
Lumo Energy has entered into a new gas sales agreement with Esso Australia
Resources Pty Ltd and BHP Billiton Petroleum (Bass Strait) Pty Ltd. This
agreement will supply 22 petajoules (PJ) of gas from the Gippsland Basin over
a three year period from 2015. Pricing under this agreement incorporates an
oil linkage mechanism.
Lumo's General Manager Wholesale, Justin Mulder said, "This contract is
significant for Lumo Energy, strengthening its position in the market place,
providing additional capacity and flexibility to Lumo's existing gas
portfolio and confidence of supply in the uncertain gas environment ahead."
Lumo Energy is the fourth largest residential retailer of gas and electricity
in South East Australia. Lumo has 500,000 customer accounts, retails gas in
Victoria and New South Wales and electricity in Victoria, South Australia,
New South Wales and Queensland. Lumo has a well-balanced wholesale position
comprising of physical and financial products to support retailing activities
ensuring it has the capacity and flexibility to meet our customer's needs at
competitive prices.
