GENERAL: MCK: Copthorne Hotel Commodore Christchurch Airport update
FRANCHISE AGREEMENT - COPTHORNE HOTEL COMMODORE CHRISTCHURCH AIRPORT
Millennium & Copthorne Hotels New Zealand Limited (NZX:MCK) advises that its
franchise agreement with the Copthorne Hotel Commodore Christchurch Airport
will not be renewed by mutual agreement and the hotel will trade from 1
November 2014 under the name of the Commodore Airport Hotel.
The hotel has confirmed that it will honour all existing bookings and rate
agreements for reservations made through MCK up until close of business on 31
October 2014.
MCK Managing Director Mr. B K Chiu said that the company is proud to have
been involved with the Patterson family over the past 18 years and enhancing
the hotel's international reputation as part of the global Copthorne network.
He wished the Patterson family well with its future endeavours. . Mr. Chiu
also confirmed that the decision not to renew the agreement would not affect
MCK's core earnings.
