GENERAL: MCK: MCK: Refurbishment of Copthorne Hotel Auckland Harbourcity
Millennium & Copthorne Hotels New Zealand Limited (NZX:MCK) advises that it
commenced a major refurbishment of its Copthorne Hotel Auckland Harbourcity
this morning.
The project, valued at over $40 million, includes a complete replacement of
the building services, new guestrooms, and public areas.
MCK's Managing Director Mr. BK Chiu said that the project is very significant
for the company and would provide MCK and the Millennium & Copthorne global
group with a landmark property in New Zealand.
To allow for the construction work, the hotel would be closed from today
until early 2017. The opening date for the hotel would be announced in due
course.
