APE has almost no debt. What a contrast to some like QAN (that's in a different sector, even if we can loosely suggest they're both 'transport').

Despite comments from the newly minted Federal Labor Treasurer that the embroyonic Federal Government needs to curtail spending, Labor (and its mates the Greens) are often hopeless at this. Hard to envisage any marked reduction in well remunerated public servants in Canberra, so while few will be totally immune from depressed economic times if and when they occur, public servants may well be affected less than the general population.
