    Dyno,
One usually looks at other WL Logs such as density/neutron & res to interpret the poro & HC content. Gamma provides a shift in base line & is commonly used to identify Sands vs Shale, LSt etc. They can tell if the sands r coarse Blocky or ratty depending on the shape of the curve (bell, funnel, box, squiggly). It should kick to the right for the Beek'pr Limestone & Shale in the Carynginia when they log it & will b all over in the Coal Measures before kicking left in the K/HC sands. The Resistivity drops when one hits water-bearing sands & kicks to the right if HC's r present. These days one needs movable HC's for a commercial discovery. Need to assess the WL logs for that section.

Note that the offset well Warradong-1 had numerous DST's done in it (TD was 3717m back in 1981 so it is much older then WE-1) & didn't flow any gas for whatever reasons. At greater depth, one tends to get tighter formation (ie low porosity). In the Cooper Basin, they coined a new buzzword ie Basin centred gas for deeper tighter formations that wouldnt flow a windy-woof (ie: RTSTM) & could flow ~1 to 5 mmcfd ballpark with multi stage frac'ing these days. Different times now.
