GENERAL: MEL: Meridian Energy Limited - Master Trust Deed Amendments

Meridian Energy Limited (Meridian) has elected for the applicable
requirements of the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013 (FMCA) to apply to it
in respect of its Renewable Energy Bonds with effect from 28 October 2015.

Accordingly, Meridian has amended the Master Trust Deed dated 1 December 2008
between Meridian, the Initial Guaranteeing Subsidiaries (as defined therein)
and Trustees Executors Limited to comply with and reflect the FMCA, and to
make other "tidy-up" amendments.

As required by the FMCA, a notice in the form attached, providing further
details, is being sent to bondholders
today.
