MERCER SECURES CANADIAN ORDER FOR SLICING MACHINERY
Mercer Group Limited announced today, that 75% owned subsidiary Titan Slicers
has secured an order for more than $NZ 5m from Maple Leaf Foods.
CEO, Rodger Shepherd, said "I have been very impressed with the Titan
management who have worked for many weeks in Canada to prove their slicing
technology is world leading. As a result of this, they have received a good
order from Maple Leaf, and we expect this to be the start of many more orders
in the North American market. We are planning to set up our own office in
North America and hiring a sales representative there, from which we can
expand."
Mr Shepherd advises that this deal supports the guidance provided to the
market of EBITDA between $3m and $4m for the July 12 to June 13 financial
year.
