The annual John Mowbray International Coin and Stamp Auctions achieved strong
results over the past weekend.
In the Coin Auction, a New Zealand record price of $21,000 was achieved for a
1935 Waitangi Proof set.
The Stamp Auction held the following day saw a 1906 1d Christchurch claret
mint fetch $20,700.
Total sales for the weekend were $1.1 million.
