Equity Derivatives update
Following consultation with market participants about readiness for NZX's
Equity Derivatives service, NZX today announces a revised target launch date
for its Equity Derivatives of 1 May 2013.
The previously communicated 1 March 2013 launch date has been extended to
ensure market readiness of all participants both in connectivity and
clearing, ensuring maximum participation in these products from the launch
day.
NZX continues to work closely with market participants in all aspects of the
development of these derivative contracts and look forward to a successful
mid-year launch.
Proposed timetable
1 May 2013 Index futures launch
3 June 2013 Equity options launch
