GENERAL: NZX: NZX publishes guidance note on Continuous Disclosure
NZX today published its final guidance notes on continuous disclosure and
trading halt and suspensions.
This follows the release of NZX's consultation paper in August 2014 outlining
proposed changes to the guidance notes. NZX received 16 submissions from
interested parties on the proposed changes.
NZX Head of Policy and Legal Robyn Dey commented: "The continuous disclosure
requirements in NZX's Listing Rules are an important part of the regulatory
framework applying to issuers listed on NZX's markets, and are designed to
ensure that important information relevant to investors' decisions is made
available to the public in a timely fashion."
"The guidance notes are intended to assist listed issuers meet their
continuous disclosure obligations, and provide transparency on our approach
to the interpretation of the continuous disclosure rules and practise
concerning trading halts and suspensions."
