Also, deposits where both width and length are wide are the best geometrically open pits designs any miner could ask for. Because during the early years of production from where the starter pit is located, the stripping ratio is extremely low. These types of pit designs are alot better then long & narrow & steeply dipping intrusive ore bodies.
