Synlait Milk unaffected by Synlait Farms takeover offer
Synlait Milk notes the announcement by the Board of Synlait Farms Ltd earlier
today that they have received a notice of intention of a takeover offer.
This offer is unrelated to Synlait Milk, and Synlait Milk is not expected to
be affected by any change in ownership of Synlait Farms Ltd.
While the two companies have common history, and some common shareholding,
they have had separate ownership since 2010.
Synlait Farms is a corporate dairy farming business that operates 13 dairy
farms with standard milk supply contracts with Synlait Milk. The shares of
Synlait Farms trade on Unlisted.
John Penno, is a shareholder and Managing Director of Synlait Milk, a
shareholder and director of Synlait Farms Ltd, and a shareholder and director
of the company making the takeover offer.
